Main Types of Masterbatch
Color Masterbatch
· Purpose: Specifically for imparting color to plastic products. It allows manufacturers to achieve precise brand colors or aesthetic designs.
Additive Masterbatch
· Purpose: Designed to give the final plastic product specific functional properties rather than just color. Examples include UV stabilizers, anti-block agents (to prevent plastic films from sticking), and flame retardants.
Filler Masterbatch
· Purpose: Contains high concentrations of inert fillers (like calcium carbonate). It is used to increase the bulk of the plastic product, reduce shrinkage, and lower production costs.
Black & White Masterbatch
· Purpose: The most common types. Black masterbatch uses carbon black for deep black coloring and UV protection. White masterbatch uses titanium dioxide for opacity and brightness.
